The Legendary Qin History
As one of the world's ancient civilizations, China's long history has produced countless captivating stories. The Warring States period and Qin unification represent a pivotal era, described by Qing scholar Wang Fuzhi as "the great transformation between ancient and modern times."

The Qin unification story has inspired numerous artistic works, most notably the film "Hero."
Zhang Yimou's 2002 wuxia masterpiece depicts assassins from six states attempting to kill the Qin king during the Warring States period.

Starring Jet Li, Tony Leung, Maggie Cheung, Zhang Ziyi, Chen Daoming and Donnie Yen, it became China's first blockbuster, topping North American box office for two weeks in 2004 with $177 million globally, marking a milestone in Chinese commercial cinema.

Beyond "Hero," TV dramas have also explored Qin history, from TVB's 2001 "A Step Into the Past" to "The Qin Empire" series since 2008, now in its fourth season. Maintaining the high standards of its predecessors, this installment continues the excellence.
