7 Men, 7 Years: Is Go Fighting! Still Worth the Hype?
From "Go Fighting! That’s Fate" to "Together for Happiness"—is this still the variety show you once loved?

When Go Fighting! began, there were no cute kids, no romantic couples, no sugary moments, nor nostalgic gimmicks—just six grown men embracing chaos.
The original lineup—Sun Honglei, Huang Bo, Huang Lei (a.k.a. Huang Tiezhu), Show Lo, Wang Xun, and Zhang Yixing—became legendary not just for their star power, but for their explosive chemistry and the show’s unfiltered realism.

Now in its seventh season, only Wang Xun remains from the original cast. The new "Go Fighting Squad"—Lei Jiayin, Yue Yunpeng, Jia Nailiang, Guo Jingfei, Deng Lun, and Justin Huang—promises to explore life’s joys under the theme "Together for Happiness."
How Did Go Fighting! Begin?

Conceived during an SMG brainstorming session about modern male pressures, Go Fighting! debuted in 2015 as a reality show pushing celebrities beyond their limits. Season 1 scored 9.2/10 from 90,000+ Douban reviews.
Season 2 (2016) outperformed with a 9.3/10 rating from 80,000+ reviewers.

The cast didn’t just complete tasks—they lived real struggles:
• Huang Bo delivered packages, only to face angry returns for delays.
• Sun Honglei babysat toddlers and met his match in tantrums.
• Wang Xun risked his life cleaning windows 282 meters high for 270 RMB, then haggled over a 7-RMB meal.
The Unscripted Battlefield
A-listers became everyday "challengers," juggling societal roles while outsmarting each other. The crew and cast waged endless guerrilla warfare—harsh challenges sparked genius responses, which inspired even wilder setups.

At Season 1’s start: Sun Honglei (45), Huang Lei (44), Huang Bo & Wang Xun (40), Show Lo (36), and Zhang Yixing (24). Beyond fame, they rediscovered childhood joy through the show’s games.

Trust forged through betrayals, alliances shattered and rebuilt in hours—the original six’s bond became the show’s soul. Their off-screen camaraderie amplified the laughter and tears.
From "That’s Fate" to "For Happiness"

Early seasons’ motto—"Go Fighting! That’s Fate"—saw them survive islands, inherit fortunes, escape explosions, and endure office drudgery.
Season 7’s lineup mirrors Season 6’s, adding post-00s star Justin Huang. The seismic shift came in 2019’s Season 5 when Huang Bo and Sun Honglei left, replaced by Lei Jiayin, Yue Yunpeng, and Dilraba. The new dynamic—and tamer games—sent ratings plunging to 4.1/10 (60,000+ Douban votes).
The first four seasons thrived on ugly truths and ruthless reversals. Later seasons’ politeness felt alien to fans.

But Seasons 5–6 cultivated new chemistry: Lei Jiayin, Guo Jingfei, and Deng Lun formed the "SHA Trio," while Jia Nailiang’s energy and Yue Yunpeng’s humor gradually won audiences. Ratings inched upward.
Season 7 promises real stakes—glaciers and fire are just appetizers. Can the new squad level up? Tune in to find out!
