• Q. What is iTalkBB Prime App?

  

  A：iTalkBB Prime App is an app that comes with a Canadian phone number. This number allows you to make and receive calls, check voicemail, and send/receive text messages using your phone's internet connection (Wi-Fi or Data). You can use it as a second phone number and enjoy free or low-cost international communications. Additionally, you can add a Mainland China or Hong Kong number for receiving messages and verification codes from Mainland China or Hong Kong for free within the same app.

• Q. What do I need to prepare if I apply for number porting online?

  

  A. First, you must be the number's owner to apply for number porting. When submitting your online application, you need to prepare identification documents and fill out the application form as instructed. If you are currently on a monthly plan, it must remain active during the porting process. You don't need to notify your current telecom company because iTalkBB will take care of the rest for you. If you're using a prepaid SIM card, it must also remain active with a balance of at least HK$1.

• Q. What if the porting process is unsuccessful?

  

  A. If the porting process on the specified date is unsuccessful due to incorrect document submission, you'll receive an email notification from iTalkBB. Follow the instructions in the email to reapply. Your phone number will still be retained with your previous telecom company, and it won't be lost. However, since you're still using the service from your previous company, you might be charged monthly fees. Therefore, it's recommended to allow ample time for the porting process and ensure the provided information is accurate.

• Q. When will the application take effect after I apply? Do I need to notify my current telecom company?

  

  A. The number porting application will typically take 3 to 7 business days to process with major telecom companies. Once the porting is successful, you will receive an email notification from iTalkBB. You don't need to notify your current telecom company. Once you complete the registration, iTalkBB will handle the remaining procedures and perform the porting on the specified date.

• Q. Do I need to complete real-name registration for the China/Hong Kong numbers in the iTalkBB Prime APP? What documents are required, and how do I submit them?

  

  A: Real-name registration is required for the China/Hong Kong numbers in the iTalkBB Prime APP to comply with relevant regulations. For the China number, the individual must personally bring a U.S./Canadian passport or Chinese second-generation ID card to the store for processing, while the Hong Kong number can be handled by submitting relevant information through the APP or an online account.

• Q. I am already a home phone user of iTalkBB, do I need to purchase this App service separately?

  

  A: No. You can download the iTalkBB Prime App through the APP Store/Google Play Store. Simply log in with your home phone account, the number is your home phone and the minutes are shared with your home phone plan. The unlimited text messaging to the US and Canada is complimentary.   A：Our service allows you to call both mobile and landline numbers without requiring the recipient to install the same app. You can also reach toll-free numbers starting with 1-800 and government hotlines.

• Q. Are there any restrictions on my mobile network provider?

  

  A: No. As long as your mobile phone can access the Internet, even without a SIM card, you can use the number on the iTalkBB Prime App to communicate with others.

• Q. Can iTalkBB Prime App be used outside of US? Are there any roaming fees?

  

  A: You can use the iTalkBB Prime App anywhere with a Wi-Fi connection or available data. Outside of US, iTalkBB Prime App still allows you to make unlimited calls to the US and Canada, and you get 300 free minutes for long-distance calls to 29 countries and regions every month. There are no roaming charges associated with using the app outside of Canada.
