Calling Difficulties
 
No dial tone
1. Please make sure that the network at your home is functioning properly.
2. Please make sure that your iTalkBB Phone Box is correctly installed.
Normally, the Power indicator light, the Internet indicator light, and the Phone 1 indicator light are all on. During the call, the Phone 1 light will blink, and occasionally the Internet light blinks as well. Both of these kinds of blinking are normal. Cannot receive incoming calls
1. Please check if it has been 24 hours since your home phone account was activated, or 24 hours since your phone number was successfully transferred. Usually, the iTalkBB Home Phone works properly immediately after your account activation or successful number transfer. But under some circumstances, it requires 24 hours to receive calls.
2. Please make sure the telephone cable is plugged in the "Phone 1" port instead of "Phone 2" port.
3. Sometimes, if you have set up some calling features, they will cause failure to receive calls. Please pick up your phone and make sure that the dial tone is normal. If you hear special tones like short tones, please try to deactivate the following calling features.
Call Forwarding – Pick up the phone and enter *73.
Call Block – Pick up the phone and enter *79.
Voicemail - Pick up the phone and enter *993.
 
 
 
 
Cannot make outgoing calls
1.Please make sure that you dial the number correctly. For example, to make international calls, you must dial 011 + country code + telephone number. Please click here for detailed dialing instructions.
2. Please make sure that your telephone is functioning. If possible, make calls from another telephone. You can also reboot your telephone or the iTalkBB Phone Box.
Poor call quality
1. Please make sure that the internet at your home is working properly. Normally, if you can hear others talking but have trouble being heard, it is caused by poor network condition. Please make sure you are not downloading anything or doing other things that occupy bandwidth.
2. If you hear static on the phone line, it is usually caused by bad contact through the telephone cable. so change your telephone cable.
3. If your telephone has an extension set without disconnecting the local bus, it will cause static sounds and poor voice quality problems. Please disconnect the local bus and then connect the extension set.
4. If you use a cordless phone, please change the frequency.
5. If you have ruled out all the above possibilities, please reboot your iTalkBB Phone Box.
 
Installation Problems
 
All of indicator lights are off
Normally, the Power indicator light, the Internet indicator light, and the Phone 1 indicator light are all on. During the call, the Phone 1 light will blink, and occasionally, the Internet light blinks as well. Both of these kinds of blinking are normal.
If the indicator lights are all off, it means that the iTalkBB Phone Box is not working. Please check your power adaptor and try to plug the adaptor into another outlet. If the outlet and power adaptor are both working correctly, it is probably caused by an iTalkBB Phone Box failure. Please call our 24/7 customer service hotline, 1-877-482-5503.
 
Only the Power indicator light is on
Normally, the Power indicator light, the green Internet indicator light, and the Phone 1 indicator light are all on. During the call, the Phone 1 light will blink, and occasionally, the Internet light blinks as well, Both of these kinds of blinking are normal. If only the Power indicator light is on, it means that there is a connection problem.
1. Please check if the internet cable has been mistakenly plugged to the yellow Ethernet port.
2. Please check if your modem.router, or hub is functioning. Try switching the cable to another port.
3. If possible, please change an internet cable.
 
The Power and Internet indicator lights are on, but the Phone 1 light blinks
This usually happens when the phone isn't hung up correctly or something is wrong with the extension telephone
1. Please check if your phone is hung up.
2. Unplug the telephone cable from the iTalkBB Phone Box to see if the Phone 1 light is on. If the light is on, there is something wrong with the telephone cable or the extension telephone. If the Phone 1 light is still blinking, there might be something wrong with the iTalkBB Phone Box.
 
The Power, Internet and Phone 1 indicator lights are on, but phone service doesn't work
Please check if your telephone is functioning. Please change the telephone or the telephone cable and try again. If the problem persists, it may have been caused by device failure. Please call our 24/7 customer support hotline,1-877-482-5503, for help.
 
Calling Feature Problems
 
No Caller ID
1. If your telephone only fails to display the ID of some calls, not all calls, it is probably because some of your calls set up Caller ID Block for their numbers.
2. If there is no Caller ID for any of the incoming calls, please make sure that the battery in your telephone works.
3. Please make sure you activated the Caller ID feature. To do this,pick up the phone, and enter*65. To deactive it, enter*85.
 
Three-way calling failure
1. Please make sure you follow these directions when making a three way call.  Dial the second party's phone number. After the second party is connected, press "Flash".  After you hear a dial tone, dial the third party's phone number. After the third party is connected, press "Flash" again.
2. Please make sure three-way calling is availabel in your country. A failure will result if it is not avilable .Currently the three-way calling feature is only available in mainland China, the US, Canada, Britain, Singapore and Australia.
3. After ruling out all the above possibilities, please try to reboot the iTalkBB Phone Box.
Cannot use fax
1. Please make sure you follow these instructions when sending a fax. Dial # 1+ fax number. If it still does not work. please try the following dialing methods: 333+1+fax number,or *99+1+fax number
2. If you use cable at your home, please try to put the iTalkBB Phone Box behind the router, and then try to send the fax again.
3. Please lower the fax speed below 9600bps
4. If your fax machine has ECM (Error Correction Mode) , please deactivate it.
